The alt-BBS and pre-KH1 stuff will be added in a separate post later, since with one exception, it's not immediately relevant to Roxas's AU history as a character. And also, I'm still ironing out the fine details.

Atlantis

+ The trio arrive in Atlantis before Milo and the crew; they meet Kida, who's excited to meet outsiders, and she takes them to see her father. They enquire about the Princesses of Heart and get some answers, but when they ask about the Keyhole, but he harshly turns them away, knowing some of the legends about the Keyblade and the Keyblade War. Disheartened, the trio nevertheless decide to search anyway with Kida, taking out Heartless as they go.

+ Milo and the crew arrive; the trio decide he's a good sort but mistrust most of the rest of the crew. While Milo is off swimming with Kida translating the stuff about the crystal, Roxas and the others overhear Rourke's real plan and spot him talking with Maleficent. Rourke has suspicions about Kida being the final Princess of Heart that the league of villains need for their plans, but Maleficent, having seen her at an earlier time debunks this theory, saying the last Princess must be on another world, or else beyond their reach. After Maleficent leaves, Rourke mutters that the Princess of Heart stuff doesn't really interest him anyway; it's just the crystal he's after.

+ They try to warn Milo and Kida, but it's too late; Rourke commands a Heartless to attack them while he makes his way to the crystal room, and though they beat it and rush there, Kida has already fused with the crystal and been taken by Rourke.

+ The trio and Milo head after him in hot pursuit with the crew, noticing how many Heartless are following the crystal too. Milo mentions off-hand that the crystal is referred to as the Heart of Atlantis, and Roxas and the trio immediately realise that the Keyhole is in the crystal. After a fight with Rourke, in which Milo strikes the final blow with his crystal shard, they take Kida back to the crystal room, where Roxas is able to seal the Keyhole. Kida gifts him with the Shepherd's Crystal keychain and upgrades everyone's magic spells, and the trio leave, now knowing that Maleficent is behind the kidnappings, but still not what she wants the Princesses for.
